Special Day...

Today was my last day working in Trevelyan Packhouse and also the opening ceremony of Olympic in Beijing. It was spectacular and extraordinary. Bravo to you China...and it is my BIRTHDAY too...hahaha...while waiting for the show, i've baked a banana cake and i helped Jaden to bake butter a.k.a cheese cake. Luckily it was successful.

Besides, I saw Ong Beng Hee in Bayfair, Mt Mauganui. He came for a competition. He is thin yet good looking. I took a picture with him though.

One more day to go...

One more day to go, and it's my final day in Trevelyan Packhouse. That's also my birthday's eve. We are going to Tauranga's Valentine for buffet dinner on Saturday. I have too many things to do tomorrow. I wanna watch Olympic's opening ceremony and pack my stuffs before leaving. A bit sad to leave this place- Te Puke; my friends and fellow collegues.

Hamilton and Coromandel

Last Friday i went to Hamilton to do my visa extension and I've already got the replied. It was approved. When i was there, the whole North Island was having a big storm. The wind was so strong that many trees are on the road and there was several small landslide along the road too. I stayed at one of my CouchSurfing's member house. It was fascinating. Eventhought it was away too far from the town centre but i've experienced a different way of living. By the way, her name is Carol. What i highly impressed about her was she had many pets; 3 cats, 3 dogs, 2 pigs, peacocks, chickens, cows, sheeps and ducks. It was like a mini zoo.

The next day, i went to Caromandel for the Catheral Cove. I walked nearly half an hour for the journey. It was nothing much to see except the cove itself. I was in an awe because i was surrounding by 'huge' stone and in front of me is the big sea with the big wave. I was a bit scary at that time though.

My last journey was Hot Water Beach. This place is interesting. You can dig a hole on the beach and there will be natural hot water and we can just lie in there and relax. Unfortunately, by the time i reached there, it was already high tide. So i couldn't cross over to the beach.

This place i went for many times and long time ago. There is a small hill which can walk up to the top and see the whole scenery of Mt Maunganui. It's beatiful expecially when it's sunny. There is a shop which sell ice-cream is very popular. The cone is freshly bake.

INTERNET, please FASTER

arggghh...connection for the internet too slow!!! I wonder what is NZ doing, not an IT country. So to you all who wanna come to NZ, please be prepared that technology is not that good in NZ. The normal rate for internet connection here is NZD6/hour. Damn expensive...

Today i work till 4.30pm. Actually i'm supposed to work till 6pm but due to unforeseen circumstances, i've knocked off at 4.30pm. NO MONEY again..

Haiz, i've gotta plan for the trip again. One month time, then i need to leave this place, Te Puke and move forward to the South Island. What i wanna do there? NO IDEA... totally blank...

Updates...New pair of shoes

Just a recap of what i have done during these few weeks:

I've finished my kiwi packing season in early June. This is my starting of my travel itenary. I went to Hamilton. I reached there at night but i couldn't find any accomodation because there is a big event there; something associates with Horticultural. Haiz, i've call several backpackers but still can't get any. However at last i found one which is very far frm town but juts opposite Hamilton Garden.

The next day, i am heading to Auckland and stay there for two days. I went to the 'gay' bar which is recommended by a lady whom i met at Hamilton. Nice experience indeed. After Auckland, i'm going to the Bay of Island- see the largest tree in NZ and Cape Reinga. Cool place but it was a raining day. So i couldn't see the best scenery. Cape is the only place whereby Tasman Sea's wave and Pacific Ocean's wave meet together. Kinda cool and is the most north part of NZ.

Um...after several days without work, i think about the money i spent and decided to find a job (hehe.. budget constraints). No job at all and i tried to contact my previous packhouse- Trevelyan. I was told no job at the moment but i can move back there. Luck is on my side, i've got work after a day rest in Te Puke.

TODAY
Work finished at 2pm. I went to Bayfair, The Mount. I bought cheap stuffs- a pair of shoes, underwears, thermal socks. Original price for the shoes is NZD39.90. i think because of 2nd last pair, the price reduced to NZD27.00. And now have winter discount, so is only NZD21++. Underwears (7 pcs) cheap quality but is only NZD8 after discount per box. Thermal socks is only NZD2.01 after discount. Original price is NZD 2.99. And i bought a jacket in K Mart few days back. Original price was NZd79.90. After discount is only NZD55.00.

So my advice is if you wanna buy winter clothings, probably you can buy during near winter. Sometimes have cheap stuffs available. So gotta do shopping regularly. My friends just bought a sleeping bag which can last during winter for only NZD 70 BUT buy 1 get 1 FREE. Thus, only NZD35 each. Cool right...

Tomorrow i wanna go to Tauranga. Shopping for grocery......

Night...

Politics

I was reading Mahathir, Teresa Kok and Hannah Yeoh's blog since i reached New Zealand. From their blogs, i can predict something will be gonna change when i'm back to my country. However, i have something in mind which troubled me. I wonder why Mahathir still can't leave politics eventhough he official resigned from his post as Malaysia's Prime Minister. I doubt there must a reason that MUST keep him bugging the goverment.

Reason Mahathir keep attacking Abdullah Badawi:
1) Abdullah didn't listen and follow to Mahathir's instruction.
2) Mahathir needs someone to replace Abdullah so that he will fleed from Lingam's case.
3) Most of Mahathir & friends businesses are stopped by Abdullah.

Come on, if Mahathir keep in attacking the current goverment (so called BN), PAKATAN will easily win over people hearts. Anyhow, this is how i like it to be. For my opinion, our current BN government is bad. They lacks of ideas to improve our country to become better. I think most of the poticians do not have a good qualifications compare to PAKATAN. Anwar was a lecturer in HARVARD. Teresa obtained two degrees and one master in philosophy. I wonder what BN people have except Khairy (proud attitude).

Sometimes i really wonder, Malaysian always say wanna CHANGE but they themselves do not wanna change. When it is polling time, ask to give a vot to change, they will say, come on nothing can be change. It has been like this for the past decade. Um... how to change if we, as a voter can't even change the mentality.

Bravo to ex-opposition (DAP-KEADILAN-PAS), you've gained 4 states gives most of our GDP. For me, Selangor will be the first state that everyone will be looking at. Well, how it will develop without BN. Economy? Lifestyle? Public safety? Um... and also signboard.

Malaysia signboard is very bad. It always lead us to the highway which we need to pay. Or else, it will show till half way. Come on, BN do something before PAKATAN did (you see, i given you tips now. Hahhahaha...)

Till now....

Life~~

Haiz..today im working again as normal. However, i heard that the kiwi season is going to end soon. Maybe the 2nd week of June. Now i don't know where i wanna go. We've have plan to travel to Auckland then to South Island if there's isn't any kiwi-repacking work for us.

Everyday i was thinking whether am i doing a good move to ask my friends to NZ. Maybe if i didn't ask them to join me, they might have a better life back in Malaysia. Well, there must be good and bad. Good is they can explore and learn new things- same goes to me. On the other hand, from what we calculated last time way back in Malaysia, the money that we earn is not as much as we expected. And the worse is when we live together, all our bad habits can be 'seen' (especially mine). I think i really have a problem to stay with many people. But that's all right. Hopefully, I will try to control so that it will last till the end of our trip. Hehehe...
This trip really give me a lot of changes; my mindset, my next step in my life, what i wanna achieve in the near future and etc.

Sometimes i ponder what is life going to be in the future? Well, is it waiting for the end-time? How should i make my life looks colourful. I really a bit pissed off here in NZ. I don't know y? Haiz....again im chatting with my cousin and i think everyone have their own problems...

Problems......why don't you go away....

However, i'm waiting for another trip to Bangkok. It will be on April- Songkran Festival. I'll be going with my buddies- TEH, GUANG and CARL. I can't wait for the trip now..hehehe

Hobitton- Matamata

Last Saturday I went to Matamata. A place where it is famous for its location scene for Hobitton-LOTR. I paid NZD58 for viewing the scene (it is only a sheep farm) and sheep farm. It hard to say worth it or not. The place is huge but the place for viewing is very small. No wonder some say is not worth it. Whether worth it or not, i still have to go because of the LOTR. However, for my opinion, it's still worth it because this is the only scene where Hobbit is shot and no where else (i think so, hehehehe...). The scenery is beautiful. There's a big tree, small lake, hill, plenty of sheeps (approximately 6,000 sheeps), and many more. The trip is a bit tired but the most tired person is Ah Teh. He gotta drive early in the morning. We only slept for 4 hours. So during the journey it was completely silence. Maybe if there's a mosquito in the car, we can also hear the buzzing. There's nothing much in Matamata. There are only 3 tourist attraction places. The Hobbiton is one of them. Second is wasterfall and a museum. Eventhough it's small town, we had a great day.

1st Day - Night Shift

Today I start work in the night shift. Everything was all right and fine. But i found out that the night shift is very easy to work because the supervisors, themselves are 'nyanyuk'. They don't even borther to care much. What we do is only stand there and close the box. Nothing much to do. Hopefully, can get used to it especially the working hours.

Work at NiGhT ShiFt

Yesterday was my last day in day shift. I will changed to night shift today. My working hours is 6pm ~3.30am on Monday to Friday and 12noon ~ 9-30pm on Sunday. I wonder what is the environment working at night. Probably 'cold' is the word that perfectly described? And now, i was surfing the internet while Guang is lying on the 'bed' cum 'couch'. All of us right now are waiting for a new job in day shift. Hopefully, we can get a day shift job. By the way, the other two monkeys (Teh and Carl) are still sleeping. I think they sleep late at night

In Maketu, Bay of Plenty

We were in Maketu few weeks ago. This place have a lot of pipi (sort like la la). What we need to do is to check the tide. When it reaches low tide, then we can go and pick those pipi. There is so many till you can't even take all. And there is a regulation stated that only 150 pipi/ person. but who cares, we just took all we can and put into plastic bags. Besides, there are 2 dogs which very friendly. I heard from lady, she said the dogs thinks that they own the whole beach. They will just walked around and going near to anyone out there with their waggyling tail. One of dog even hopped into our car and sit. He even 'shake hands' with me. And we noticed that one of the dog only have 3 legs (all the dog pics ) . Brave dog!!! I salutes you... I hope i will also have this kind of spirit within me.150 pipi/ each personWhere's CARL?Super duper short shorts!!!Come on, which direction to look at?Opps, candid camera!!! Yahoo! Finally i've got an extra job. Yesterday i went for an interview at Satara to find a night shift job. I was declined. However, today they called up at 8.30am and ask to be there at 9am or else my position will be replace. I rushed to there but the bad news is I don't have work a week. Haiz, just work a day. Anyway, i'm blessed because my wages can cover my expenses for this week (accomodation and foods). On the way to Satara Packhouse, I saw RAINBOW.

And this week, there's not much job. I only worked for 3 days. Hopefully this weekend there's job. Or else, i gotta work as kiwi picker (tough work).

Circus 2008

Three human beings pulling a pig's hand.....hahhaha...

My New Experience...

Opps, i didn't update my blog recently. I've experienced many things. For intance, right now I AM in New Zealand NOW!!!! I arrived at NZ on 5th March and i will be back to Malaysia on 29th August 2008 (if there's isn't any changes).

This is another link for my blog in New Zealand..... Welcome!!!

http://backpackinnewzealand.blogspot.com/

Tired day...

Today is another working day. Not much different except I've receives my wages. Eventhough it's not much, only NZD 207 because i only work for 3 days. Somemore it already deducts my rental for accomodation. So is fine with me. Two days ago, i met a person who work in the same packhouse. She recommended me a church which i am looking for so long. For the past few weeks, i was looking for a charismatic church but i couldn't find any. I even emailed to a church which is in Tauranga (half an hour from Te Puke; my place)but i don't haven any transport. So i think i couldn't go. So this week i will go there. I hope it suits me...God knows what i want!!! God is my provider..Praise you Lord....
Yesterday i went to work as a kiwi picker. It was so tired. I need to wear a bag to put the kiwi that i picked from the trees. It weight almost 20kg (includes the kiwis) At first it was exciting and enjoying. But as the time goes, i think it is a disaster. I walked and keep on plucking for hours. My head have to look-up and my hands keep plucking the fruit at a level which is higher than my head. I tell you, i won't do it once more UNLESS i don't have any income (hehehe..) So when i went to work today, i found out that for the whole one week, i have work. Luckily, i don't need to suffer from picking. I can enjoy packing! Up to now only, i wanna get to sleep because i think my nose is allergic to the kiwi fruit 'bulu'. I ate many supplement and medicine to keep me fresh tomorrow...See ya.....and keep you all update.

Part 2...

Part 2... From the previous updates, actually i should continue my story but i think it is really no time for that. After since, I've traveled to many places. When I was in Napier, i couldn't find any job. Thru Carl's contact, we get to know a contractor who arranged for job in Hasting. Immediately, I moved to Hasting. It is only half an hour from Napier. I stayed at Travellers Lodge. Most of the occupants are working under this contractor-Johnny (Allied Workforce) and most of them are Malaysians (kind of suprised). Johnny is also a Malaysian. However, I don't really trust him. Malaysian are not trustable. Oops, I'm a Malaysian too. :) That's my story before i found a job.

I thought my life will be better after i got a job but i was wrong. I was arranged to work in a pumpkin factory- Cedenco. My goodness, the supervisor asked me to chop the stupid pumpkin for 9 hours and it was like NON-STOP. Once, there was a woman asked whether I like the job (as a chopper???). I didn't comment anything, neither yes or no BUT i've answered her. Well I said, 'is my job'. I bet she must be damn piss off with the answer like that.... :)

After working for almost one and a half week. I've resigned (surrendered). Now, I wanna go to Te Puke- the origin of New Zealand's kiwi fruit. Before I went there, I've travelled to Taopo and I stay overnight and slept in a car because all the rooms are fully booked. It is super peak season- EASTER DAY. Taopo is a nice place. There are many tourists. It has a big lake-Lake Taopo. It is so big till it looks like a sea. The sky is blue and the water is super clear (amazing). This only can be seen in Malaysia in islands which need to pay. Come on Malaysia, do something about the beaches!!!! Sleepingkah my beloved Malaysia goverment?Malaysia has many beautiful beaches but no one taking care of it.

I also went to Bungy Jump's and Skydive's location but I didn't try because it is too expensive. One game will cost approximately NZD200, which mean RM460 once. Crazy!!!! no money ar....
After Taopo, I went to Turangi. I went for the Tangariro Walk- Tongariro National Park. I need to walk 17km. I walked up the mountain and come down. Then up again...and down again. The scenery is stunning. God creation is wonderful.
After all these, I came to a city called Te Puke (this is where i will be working). I've reached here yesterday. This is what happened yesterday, Jaden and me were returning our rental car at Tauranga Airport which is away from Te Puke (17km). We intended to hitch hike cars that are going towards Te Puke. We walked and give our best and also use our thumbs-up sign. At first, no one gives us a lift. We didn't give up as we take turn to do the hitch hike's sign because our hand too tired. We walked and walked. Suddenly, a car stopped by and asked us to hop-in. We ran like crazy fellow towards the car. Yahoo, luck was on our side (finally). Another problem is Gladys text me that no one is coming over to pick us up because all of the staffs already went back due to Easter Day. Luckily, Gladys called up the office again after waited nearly to 3 hours from 11am to 1.30pm. Huh.. there's a lady asnwered the phone and she promised to fetch us to the hostel. Right after she hanged up, Michelle (the person who supposed to pick us up) appeared. She didnt inform us that she couldn't come and whatsoever. And what pissed me off is she told us to wait for another half and hour AGAIN because the car is full as some of the workers are taking the lift for their grocery. What a bitch!!! After a while, the lady who answered the call came. During the way to the camp site, we had a nice chat :). Now i am in Te Puke. I dunno when will I will be shifting again. I will update my latest news soon.

A Week in Hawkes Bay (part 1)

It was really hard for me to get online in New Zealand!!! I've already arrived in NZ for more than a week but only now i can start update my blog. Um.. I'll start the story when we left from JB (Johor Bahru). I went to Changi Airport, Singapore to take the airflight. I took Qantas because it is the cheapest I can found. It is roughly SGD 1400. I've reached there quite early because I am scared that the JB's traffic is bad. I took a cab from Woodlands to Changi. It cost me roughly SGD$ 20++. I've snapped a few pictures in Changi while waiting for my sis from JB to send dinner over (to save $). Within half an hour, my sis called and said she is already in the airport's carpark. HOWEVER, at the same time, guess who I saw.....is JACKIE CHAN!!!
Mamamia....(hahhaha). He is quite short and guarded with a bodyguard (tall guy). Isn't he know some kung-fu? When Jackie rushed to the toilet and u know what... I ran towards him and follow him to the toilet. At the same time, my sis saw me running towards the toilet and she must be figuring why I was running towards there because she was calling at the back of me... (weirdo). Actually I intent to ask permission to have a photo with him (jackie) but he walked too fast. Is all hongkie walk the same speed as him????
After all the running, I've finally had my dinner (at the carpark, hehehe..). While waiting to onboard, I do nothing. I wanna online but couldn't (eventhought i have the password). My flight was at 10pm ++. My flight fly to Sdyney and transit in Adelaide. While in the plane, Carl was not felling well. He was drownsy. Hahahha... Pengsan....Kekeke..... Affter he ate the 'drowsy prevention pill' he feel all right but motionless... The rest of us felt so excited. This was the first time Winston taking plane out of Malaysia and Jaden is sitting alone with stranger because when we check-in, he checked-in separately (So sorry for you, Jaden)

I slept at around 12am but around 3.30am (Malaysia time +0800) i gotta woke up because it was already morning- 7.30am (2 and half hours different) in Adelaide and i gotta stop there. I waited for an hour in the airport waiting to fly to Sdyney. When I've arrived in Sdyney, my cousin, Yen Yen is already waiting for us (i mean at the city centre). I took a train to Sdyney city and the first thing I do is EAT!!!! Kinda surprised that the city is full of Asian. I walked around (city tour, hahaha - tour guide is Yen Yen) and of course snapped pictures (to fulfill my wish- 'tonned of pictures').

When we wanna went back to airport. Yen yen's purse was missing. I was so worried but she is not :( . She looks so calm. We walked to the eatery where we had lunch earlier and ask. Luck is not on our side, nothing was found. Again, I gotta board another plane (from Sydney) to Wellington at around 6pm (Aus. time). I've reached Wellington at around 12am (midnight).
All of us were little bit 'kan cheong' because we heard that the NZ-immigration officers have the authority to send us back to Malaysia if they suspect that we are up to no good. Shit, I was stucked in the checking area (only check Asian- BIAS) for an hour. They kept asking questions and questions. They ONLY Chinese asian for questioning. What a bad day and we forfeited 2 packs of 'POH CHAI YUN'. Um... if next time i have stomachache, I will haunting them. The pills is illegal because it contains some ingredients that is not permitted into NZ. Anyway, one of the immigration officer is good (the one that questioned ME). He let us sleep in the airport.
P/S- Wellington airport will stop operation after midnight and resume back at around 4am. Please do not assume that all airports operates 24/7!!!

I was told not to walk around because the whole aiport is full of CCTV and I slept on the sofa/ cushions (whatever u call it). I woke up at 4am becase people starting coming to the airport. I went out the airport and waiting for bus and it was very cold. What to do, I still need to wait for bus. I took a bus to Wellington town. It is a big city and the weather was cold and windy. After that, I've took Nakedbus (sounds chicky) to Napier, the place where I wanna find job.
to be continued...

Countdown..3,2 and 1...

New Zealand I am coming!!!One more day to go and i will be in New Zealand (jobless). This might change my life because some say the economy of Malaysia will turn bad for year 2008. So it will be tough for me to find a job when i'm back to Malaysia on September. However, as usual, DO I CARE? By the way, i know some of my collegues will be reading this blog too. So if you guys have job vacancy (when i'm back), please inform me lar.

In this blog, i will mostly just post up pictures instead of writing because it is faster and easier. God knows whether NZ have wireless network or not (keep my finger crossed). Hopefully can upload tonnes of pictures.

Later i will need to drive my friends (Jaden and Winston) to have their haircut before leaving to the unknown place (NZ). BTW, there are four (4) people including me going for this trip. There are Carl, Jaden and Winston. So all of us are guys...so no hanky panky stuffs that you might think of.. hahaha

But who knows we might able to meet someone out there! That will be great!!! So till now, see ya!!!!

Today is a so-so in the office. Not that busy yet not too free. I was just follow-up with my current pending tasks before i left. However, it seems that the task is never ending. Well, I'm just waiting for my last day. It will be on the 18th July, and 19th is another brand new day.

Actually today i promised my frenz to go to night market. But i took the wrong bus. Hence, i just cancelled the trip though. Um, yesterday i was just saying i wanna keep update my blog, but luckily while im surfing, i kind of think 'bout the blogger (sudden flashback, hahaha).

So this is the outcome...hahaha. Gotta clean my bloody dirty room + house. But kinda sleepy and lazy.. see how 1st..

My Art Work...

This is painted by me... Isn't beautiful?

I'm Back!

Wow! I'm coming back to my blogging work again. It has been months that i didn't even log-in to my blogger. During these few months, many things has changed, I've changed to a new company, i skipped church services, gotta know new friends and etc.

But kinda surprised is that, for this time 'round, i'm going to change job again after 8 months working. Hopefully, this time around, the job that i found will give me what i wanted and desire for.

Well, talk about what i have done during these few months... ( i've bet the last post from me was during CNY- Feb).

Actually i've done not much things. Basically busy is the keyword. I've been busy working because it required me to work during my weekend. Thus, doesn't hv much time to do my personal stuffs and not much on my free time too. But eventhough it was a a bit time consuming job, I did learnt something. Well, of course the first thing is my collegues. I've got a bunch of cool collegues. Um... I can't named them here (p&c). hahaha... and i've got to venture myself into marketing fields. I've become more matured (i bet so) especially in my thinking. kekeke... :)

But i lost something too. I seldom contact with my long-time friends. Probably they will think i already forgotten them too. But how come they also don't contact me? Ain't my fault 100% too.

Actually, i have so much things to mention here but i can't mentioned all in a time. Maybe for the next post then.

Wait for my next post, ya!

Ciao,
PartyKL

In the sparkling juice, there are golden leaves (22k) in it. Actually, i did intend to drink it. As soon i've noticed about the content. I decided to keep it as a remembrance. Probably a few weeks later, i will post some pictures that i've took during my birthday celebration with my friends too. It is a surprise birthday ever i had. Well, i couldn't think off because i seldom inform my birthday to others. But bravo to them because they could find it.

Coursework Fever!

well, is my coursework time AGAIN! i need to burn midnite oil again. I have no choice because is a last minute work. I need to pass up my coursework on next week. Life still need to go on and my coursework still need to be hand-in on time (hehehe) Well, talk about my trip to Bangkok 2 weeks back. I've lost my cellphone. Um... actually i don't really know where did i lost it. Um.. if i know where i have drop it, definitely i can find it, rite? well, it's fate. The problem is not that the phone is lost, but because all my contact numbers are all in the sim cards. Well, this time i really got to track back all my friends contact number. Those who didn't call me, well, now i know who are my 'true friend'. Hahaha.. Actually is a good thing, finally i can reduce the numbers in my SIM card. As u know, sometimes we are scare to delete the numbers that we have, in case, we might gotta use it someday. But now, well, it's a relieved. All numbers are GONE (less people to contact). There's another good news, PRAISE GOD, i finally have a phone from my bro's friend. Well, at first, he wanna sell me at a price which is slightly expensive. But he changed his mind, he sell me at a lower price. PRAISE GOD...hehehe. Can save $$$ again. Okay, till here, ya. I really gotta start my coursework by now. Bye all and take care. Dun miss me much,ya.
